  • Distillation and Fermentation System for Tequila Distillery 2023

    Scope: Overall process design and construction of a new wort fermentation system, a tequila distillation system with stills, associated in situ cleaning (CIP), and a mixing system for the finished product.

  • Grupo SIEO collaborates with one of the leading spirits manufacturers to expand their tequila production plant. Grupo SIEO is awarded the contract to carry out detailed engineering and construction of the Distillation, Fermentation, and Mixing systems for the finished product. The client's objective is clear and fully integrated automatic systems that operate with minimal operator intervention, even when cleaned with the CIP system.
    Grupo SIEO gets to work designing and building integrated automatic processes on a common Proleit Plant IT control platform.

  • The result is a production system, the first of its kind in the tequila industry, that integrates the processes of fermentation, distillation, and finished product under a fully automated platform. The system operates in production batches with minimal operator intervention, and the sequences of raw material reception, preparation, distillation, and cleaning are carried out automatically.
